After taking a few weeks of to regroup Adam was back in action at Ogilvie Speedway in Ogilvie, MN on Sunday 28, 2010. 30 cars entered the race on Sunday night with Adam coming home with the grand prize. Adam started 9th on the grid in the heat race and worked his way up to finish 4th. That put Adam 5th in passing points which put him into the dash. Adam drew 2nd to start the dash and won it. Adam started first row inside for the main event, he had some company for a little bit, but in no time he was checked out. The race had a lot of caution and on every re-start Adam was able to pull away from the field and take the win! Adam’s next race will be Thursday at Proctor Speedway for the Silver 1000.

Hensel takes time off to re-group

After a much needed break from the race track the J&J Motorsports team will be back out in action on Saturday August 28th at Cedar Lake Speedway. After having a very rough month the team decided it would be best to take some time off and re-group. Adam is very excited to get back behind the wheel of the number 44. Friday August 27th Adam will be racing at the Corn Belt Clash in Lansing, MN, you will find him in the number 60 car, which is the house car for Dirt Late Model Magazine.

USA Nationals Week

Big week for Adam Hensel and J & J Motorsports…
Starting Tuesday August 3rd Adam will run a five day swing starting off in no other than his home town track of Rice Lake, Wisconsin. This is the first appearance of late models in the 2010 season at Rice Lake. Adam is the last late model winner at Rice Lake Speeday. Tuesday August 4th the team will travel to Superior, Wisconsin to compete. Thursday Adam will compete at Cedar Lake Speedway, it is the UMP Late Model warm- up event. Friday and Saturday Adam will be doing double duty at Cedar Lake. Friday will be the World of Outlaw Late models along with the regular Nascar Late Models. Friday is qualifying, heats, and dashes and a full show for the Nascar portion. Saturday is the b-mains, last chance race, and the 100 lap, $50,000 to win a-main, also along with that will once again be the Nascar late model portion.

Black Cloud Vanishes for Adam!

Adam Hensel had a clean sweep at the Cedar Lake speedway this past Saturday. Adam started pole in his heat race and won then redrew the fourth starting spot for the A-main and had to battle to the front. Adam and Brent Larson (B1) definitely put on a show, they raced side by side for over half of the 30 laps. A late race caution helped seal the deal for Hensel as he was able to get by the B1 on lap 22 and hold his own for the remaining 8 laps. Adam would like to thank all of his sponsors and fans for their support throughout the 2010 season. A special thanks to JR Haley for making it all possible and also crew chief Ryan Hensel. Black Cloud all weekend for Hensel

The racing weekend started off Wednesday for Hensel at Superior Speedway. Adam ended up second in his heat and was running 4th but while entering turn one he ended up on two wheels, when the car dropped back down, he proceeded to pull off the race track due to terrible track conditions. Thursday night in Grand Rapids was a washout due to weather. Friday was the first day of the 11th Annual Masters at Cedar Lake Speedway. Adam timed in 3rd fastest over 43 competitors and ended up 2nd in his heat race which locked him into the 6th starting position. Unfortunately his night ended early, on lap one he got pinched into the wall and there was significant damage done to the 44 machine. Saturday night started off very well as Adam qualified 7th over the 44 car field. He ended up holding Jimmy Mars off for the heat win and re-drew 4th for the feature. Saturday nights feature was once again short lived as the right rear shock malfunctioned causing Adam to pull off.
